My personal opinion on the question is simple. My goal is to upload twice a week. I could upload more but the editing won't be as good as I want. If you have a busy life; working 40 hours a week, family, friends, other hobbies, you might have a hard time to massively upload heavily edited videos.

It all depends on what's your goal with YouTube, quality or quantity. My goal is 2 videos a week and sometimes I can't make it. Who cares...

You got to be proud of you videos, if it means cutting quantity down, do it.
