Your favorite gaming era so far

I was just curious about what is the most liked era of gaming and gaming technology among this community. The eras are listed by consoles cause it's easier to kinda explain which era is which, so eras don't really limit you to console , computer games are also included. So vote away

You know, in music, or cars, nostalgia is acceptable, most of the time. But there's simply nothing better or unique about the older videogames compared to new ones. Nostalgia is forced.

I can understand what you mean... but i mean, i do feel nostalgia for older games, and i do feel like the older games have their charm to them. And maybe somebody who never had like life long experience with these games or simply has really strict graphics demands can't really see these games as good, ever, and thats ok

Best gaming era (for me) was the fifth era. Even though I didn't play any consoles until I was 6, the N64 was the best console just because of Pokemon and Legend Of Zelda

I think most of us got the fifth era most... We got early era, but we'd lie if we say we remember clearly... The fifth is like when you really got to enjoy playing...

It´s the best time to live the life of a gamer right now! You can play retro games very cheap and enjoy life like graphics on current gen systems! And VR is coming!

I vaguely remember the fourth era but the fifth was most of my young childhood. My very first console, the Playstation 1... ahhh, happy memories.

Wow really interesting to see what people were voting for haha! For me it was easy, the fourth era was the era when I first discovered the video games for real. Cool to see that the PlayStation 1 era is leading so far!

I'm most nostalgic about the SNES era...
I am pretty sure I played every game...
But my first consoles we're the Vectrex, and Intellivision... they weren't on the list...

But right now I love the current gen pc experience...
