This question is for everyone that's played or watched lp's on these two games, which did you prefer more? I know they're both new and you may still be playing them, but I'd like everyone's opinion. I have both and I'm deciding on which to play first.
If you had to pick one: Outlast or Amesia: Machine for Pigs?

So far, I'm liking Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs better. I want to get it and play it SOOO BAD! But I don't have enough money to get it. I've already spent too much in the past 3 weeks of school. And I still have to put a full tank of gas in my car! So I can't buy it right now. I want to....but I can't. TT~TTI'm only what people have made me to be; a bitch, a scank, a c*nt. I've been morally degraded beyond belief. What could you possibly do that'd make me be further from who I truly am?
I have nothing, therefor, I am nothing. -
Outlast.
AMFP just seems like another Amnesia custom story. Outlast is scary, as well as original, in some ways. Monsters are detailed too. -
Outlast may have the better "graphics" but, I prefer Amnesia's gameplay even more. The Amnesia series started PewDiePie's channel and made it a big hit. It's basically like a classic of bro culture. I also prefer Amnesia A Machine For Pigs because I love it when PewDiePie releases his creativity and brings abiotic objects to life (it's something unique about PewDiePie compared to other plain lets players). Characters like Mr. Chair, Piggeh, or Stephano always make me laugh and enjoy his videos. I hope he can make more of these trademarks in the new game as there is more objects to name. Unfortunantly, many objects in Machine For Pigs can't be interacted with (picked up). Also, there is NO CUSTOM STORIES in this new Amnesia...Even though these flaws kind of ruin Amnesia A Machine For Pigs, I still would rather see him play it rather than Outlast. (Outlast is a pretty good game don't get me wrong). But Amnesia is always in my heart and will be my favorite horror series, no matter the flaws.THIS IS MY SIGNATURE

Personally after playing Outlast, AAMFP seems pretty tame in comparison :pFeel free to check out my gameplay channel youtube.com/caiyth -
Nice responses everyone, definitely has me stoked to play both. Does AAMFP continue after AADD? I never finished the first one and kinda want to jump right into AAMFP.

Outlast.
MFP is just like a new custom story for Amnesia - nothing more.
. -
Outlast because the new Amnesia is a bigger custom story with a price ... dun dun dun ...
I bet you can't click that dancin' Buu
-
Outlast, I need this horror
-
Can't really tell, i played both, and idk, both are scary for me, i think i choose Amnesia.
-
I haven't played both, but I can safely say that Amnesia is the new CoD in the horror area. No big innovations and basically the same thing since penumbra.

i agree with you 100%, in this "new" amnesia, i missed tinderbox, other stuff, i played like 30mins or so, and i missed a lot of things but it's still scary for me -
I have to go for Outlast, i love the new amnesia but too many changed for me to have the 'real' amnesia experience and i really really loved doing outlast! If you have some spare time, make me happy and have a look:

Outlast is kinda scarier...all that surroundings and insane people...it just makes you feel uneasy much more than new Amnesia. But Amnesia has a wider story with more details. I guess both of them are awesome, depends only on what you preffer; story or the horrorOn the outside I may appear like an emotionless sarcastic piece of shit, but just like an onion, when you peel off more layers, you find the exact same thing every single time and you start crying.
If the world didn't suck, we'd all fall off! -
AMNESIA, I CHOOSE U! Outlast is too scary for me

I've watched LP's of both, and I have no intention of playing because I'm a wuss.
Having said that, Outlast is definitely the scarier game of the two from my point of view. It's constantly frightening. The monsters are scary as hell.... not knowing whether or not the "people" you run into are going to attack you or not keeps you on your toes, the use of night vision is handled really well. It's just plain brutal.
Amnesia on the other hand, is the king of atmosphere. Something about these games fully immerses you into the situation and I can't even imagine playing it. The pacing is slower than Outlast, but the immersion is really impressive.
Conclusion: Both are great games offering different horror experiences that any fan should delve into eventually. -
Nope, they are actually 2 different games. Amnesia the dark descent was placed in the medieval times or renissance ( I do not know which one) somewhere in Europe. While, Amnesia A Machine For Pigs was placed in the 1800s in mexico. There are diffrent main protagonists in each game ( Amnesia DD: Daniel, Amnesia A M F P: Oswald). There are diffrent monsters as well. The only things they both have the same is the gameplay mechanics and some modeled objects.THIS IS MY SIGNATURE
