So I'm downloading BF3 (Like, right now) and it has been sitting here for about 3.5/4 hours. It is currently at 58% with an ETA of two hrs and three mins. This isn't normal, as my download speeds for Steam are usually fast, downloading a game like Fallout 3 or a large game like that in an hour and a half-two hours. It is currently set at 1.6 MB/sec, but that's after I restarted Origin. Before I restarted it, it had an ETA of about four hrs and five mins with about 550 kb/sec. Anyone have any ideas how to make this a bit faster before I sit here for another two hours? (No, I do not believe it is my internet because my internet is a bit above average, and I don't have any stats to put up for you guys right now, sorry.) Is there a sale today or something?
Slooooooow download speed for Origin

Okay, well, thanks anyway. Only got 15 minutes left, so what the hell.

Origin is bad and slow. There that's about it.

Origin is like the official "taste" of hell. With 20MB internet , origin still managed to download dead space 3 like über-slowly.
Not to mention my friend tried to activate his game but origin was so slow it wouldn't load the "redeem your cd key" page and he had wait till next day.
Maybe it's because of the humble bundle and the fact that people are actually using origin because of that... not for long though ;P<--- Oh, you hate me son? -

That's fast! It took me 2 nights to download BF3, although I live in New Zealand so it's naturally a bit slower with the distance. Origin is always slower than Steam though, just have some patience.
And thus is the reason why we still wait for fibre optic here in New Zealand. Shameful. -
The reason why your download speed is slower than your actual internet speed is probably because of the load.
Too many people are connected or downloading, that takes up the bandwidth, but 1,6 mb/s is still ok.
