    • Losing Video Quality?

      Hey bros,
I have been capturing footage at 720P from my HD PVR and have been using Final Cut Pro X to edit the videos.
However I have to use "Proxy Media" for my computer (MB Pro 8gb 1TBHDD 2.6 i7)
I'm very new to editing so I don't know what Proxy Media is, but I assume it makes the video lower quality, but I thought it would only do that for editing purposes and then when I rendered and output to disk, it would be normally quality.

      Any help/ideas?

It looks like doodie compared to my first upload which I edited in iMovie.

    • Okay to tel you the truth I have not ever heard of "Final Cut Pro X" video editor but... I may know the soloution to your problem. It is either one of the following.

      1. If you upload videos through the editor you use...

      1. Defualt video quailty of the editor - Some editors have a default video quailty that is automaticaly set when uploading through it.

      2. Produced video file - Another reason may be the video that has been produced from the editor's file may be low quailty. Mp4, Avi, Wmv, are usauly 720p in default.

      2. Size

      1. Youtube is usauly 1280 x 720 if it's anything else youtube may lower the quailty or increase it I know widescreen 16:9 is 1080p

    • i hope you dont mind me asking this in this thread, but movie makers not good for great video quality is it? i was hoping to get off without having to buy an expensive editing program, since i already spent a lot of money on getting all the gear for making videos, but it might be inevitable.. ;( and please don't be mad if its against rules posting questions in other threads etc. i'm completely new to this forum so i dunno all the rules yet.
