    • Kiddie rated M gamers

Ok, come on, the world nowadays, what is wrong with the generations? Seriously, I go play Black Ops 2 or Halo 4 or some other rated M game, and I always encounter at least 1 kid playing, at most 1 kid every match I play. What's more, oh yeah, they swear, rage, whine, and complain whenever they're getting their asses handed to them. What is going on!? Are parents just too lazy to discipline their kids? Are parents the victims of kids who are like "Mommy! Mommy! Mommy! Get me this game or I'll punch daddy's "special" place!" (That isn't true but something similar to that). But overall, what is wrong with the world now, kids should NOT be playing rated M games in the first place! Don't parents read the damn game ratings!? That's why they're there! TO BE READ TO NOT CAUSE KIDS TO START ACTING LIKE...Michael from Roosterteeth. I'm sorry if I'm sounding a bit too over-expressive but I am serious about this? Shouldn't they do something where kids can't play rated M games?

They are the same kids from any generation so can we please stop blaming them.
Just a news flash, kids have and will always act this way. They will act like kids.

Parents are the only ones to blame for kids playing the games

Michael from Roosterteeth is just a joke on the entire dumb raging gamer, personally I don't find anything he does funny.

I'm just sort of annoyed at your post because you seem to think your generation is better? The world was better? Kids had more respect once? The world will go to ruins because a kid is playing a game?

    • Kids, especially pre-teen boys are attracted by the fact that it is for adults and really in the 90's there were kids playing M rated games (*ahem* Mortal Kombat *ahem*) it's just that now we have voice chat in our games which makes it noticable that there is a child playing. This isn't something new with video games, ever since MPAA added a rating system to the movies kids are trying to go in the movie theaters to see R rated films, then there is the music label thingy called (PARENTAL ADVISORY EXPLICT CONTENT)
on music cds which kids will try to buy as fast as they could and listen to them, then there is television rating system which pretty much if it has TV-14 or TV-MA they will watch it or Adult Swim.........OK SERIOUSLY DO I NEED TO SAY ANYTHING?

    • Heh, i played GTA when i was 13th years old.
Anyway, personally i'm fine if the kid could act like a grown up. You know, less whining n shiz. And smart enough to not annoy the whole team with bunch of blabbering of how they'll fuck my mother.

If you're angry, don't break anybody's heart, they only have one..... Break their bones, they have 206 of them
    • I don't mind the kids playing the M rated games, it's when the become the most vulgar person in the chat room that upsets me. Gamers are going to play video games, I get it, and there will be upsetting times during those video games, I get that too. It happens to everyone, but when you're 12 years old, or even 21 years old, there is no need to tell everybody to go fuck themselves for shooting you in a video game, which is what they're supposed to do. Last time I checked everybody was getting shot in CoD, so you don't have to threaten somebody's life because they beat you. Go ahead and keep strengthening those thumbs, the xbox live community is a fun place, but just show some respect to each other, you're all there just to play a video game.

I'm not sure how many people I have hurt when I kill people in games... Oh wait, I know how many!
      It's 0
0 People have been hurt by my actions that I have made in game, but I guess we just live in a fucked up world now.

OH shame on us, bring back the Colosseum and ship in some Christians or some shit to be feed to the lions!
This generation is doing it wrong!

As pointed out above in some posts, many of these violent games were played by "Us"? when we were kids and nothing bad has been the result.
I can understand the original posters concern and annoyance
I will admit I do not like playing games with obnoxiousness kids trying to act "Older" but then again no one likes to play with an obnoxiousness gamer anyway.

    • Here's my take on it. Video games are like movies. Some parents give their child lineage and let them watch some movies that are more above their age/generation, due to respect, maturity, or just bad parenting. I'm 14, and my parents don't purposely expose me, but they don't shelter me, either. They lemme play M games, watch certain movies, read any book I want, and let me listen to what I want, because of maturity, not mere bad parenting. Now, if they see a pattern of bad behavior that is linked to any of those, that's when they start to take it down a notch. But yes, it is annoying when there is an 'annoying-as-fuck' 12 year old on Call of Duty or Halo. But there are also more mature, well-handled teenagers that can handle these games/movies/books/music. And by the way, sorry for any inconsistencies in my post, I didn't take the time to read any other posts from above. Quote and reply what you think of this opinion, if you wish. :)
    • You watched porn when you were 14, same situation as playing a game above your age. No one cares about that, its not a must follow dictated law. Of course when you are actually at the store buying them, you have to have "an adult" with you but that's not the point. They will do/want to do what they want no matter the age requirements because they don't care or understand why the restrictions are put on them. Let them do what they wish with games, not hurting me or anyone really. If they annoy you on games mute them / block them. Easy as that. Also, if you want to play...I hate to use the term "mainstream" (#hipster)first person shooters games every kid wants to buy that and will play it. So try to changing what games you play if the previous suggestion does not work.
    • I don't mind if kids play Rated M games as long as they know if it's just a game, not take it seriously. I am more concern to kids who raged, swear, insult, too much in a video game and the kids who become violent because of video games.

Letting kids play M Rated game isn't bad but letting kids violent / rude becasue of video game.. THAT'S bad.

You know, when I was 9, my parents allow me to play GTA SA, and when I was 11, I played Manhunt 2.
Did I become violent? No. It didn't affect me. It's all depend on the kids. But the sad thing is, many kids take video games seriously, especially multiplayer games.

    • This generation is overreacting on kids going violent over a game... Literally.

Last I checked, some kid managed to save her sister from some wild animal by acting out some of the skillsets in Warcraft... Violence? No... Both animal and his sister survived. If anything, it saved their lives, both animal and human alike ._.

The worst this generation of kids can do that's even remotely close to gaming is their mouths shouting out insults. I've done something called trolling and man is it fun to see them ragequit and report me multiple times for things I haven't done (some even got banned for giving false reports BAHAHAHAHAHA)

    • I started playing Counter Strike at the age of 9. Anything violent happened? Nope.
I started playing GTA: SA at the age of 10. Anything violent happened? Nope.
I started playing Man-Hunt at the age of 11. Anything violent? Still Nope.

The only thing that I think will lead to violence is bullying. (I didn't mention the game)
The only thing that will happen to kids, is that they will start swearing, rage, and take things too seriously. Is it bad parenting? Maybe.

    • I dont play as much console games as I used to (resorted to PC now partially coz I like some PC orientated games), one of the reasons I play less is that you did always get that annoying kid, who had to be the "toughest" in the lobby (not to mention their lame ability to crack your mums jokes). Atleast with the PC I dont run into these kids!! And for the games I do play which envolve lobbys, I just mute the voice chat, join a call on skype with a friend, get some music in the background and chill out :D

Though you could probably do all this ^ with a console, I feel like the PC orientated community are a bit less child filled, so I dont have to as much... (Just my opinion)
Also, I agree with posts above, in the sense that I dont think parents take much notice of the games they play, or if they do, the leash is too long! And the habits the kids adapt is bad (all the swearing etc).
