I think there may be a way. Press the # and inside the code, post the embed code for a youtube video, like so:




It works, but for some reason, only when viewing the edit of your post. I wouldn't recommend posting videos all the time though because it would be hard on the forum.

Yes, that's true; it is much more neat to just link to the video.

No, normal users can't include html in their posts. It's restricted so that nobody can include bad scripts on here.
