I gotta say, if you made this game, you're awesome.
The game is great, the gameplay is good, i just don't get the point like... HEY, LET'S GO TO AN ABANDONED HOUSE WITHOUT LIGHT AND LET'S EXPLORE AROUND. Anyway, i played a bit of it, and the game itself is Hard, most likely because you ahve to know when exactly you have to move the flashlight if you don't want to die so soon.
Anything else i can say is that great job.No signature. Because i'm a baws... Or else because i suck at GFX Design.

I like it. I played it and will put out some gameplay footage of it this weekend. The thing I like most though is the view. I have only seen a few games in this platformer view and even fewer horror games in this view and EVEN FEWER that are actually scary. Great job. Brofist* Slow Claps* All that stuff.

It would mean A LOT to me if you made it for the Mac too. Are you working on putting it on the Mac? Please make it Mac support :).

I would totally play this game, but it's glitched for me. Opening items doesn't work. I hold the mouse button to open something, and it opens, but as soon as I let go it immediately closes again and there are no items inside. There was only one random playthrough where opening things worked and I acquired the crowbar, if I remember right, but I haven't been able to get this game to work other than that.
if there are they stay open until you grab the item....

Hey guys, thanks a ton for the comments and lps
I'm making some headway on the sequel, I'll keep updating my devlog when I get more info.
create-games.com/project.asp?view=main&id=2368
Me and ze others have made some awesome headway on the story and such.
Aside from that, I've officially decided to make a few changes/updates to the programming, art and gameplay of this one and releasing it on Xbox live indie games. I'm going to give Xbox Live Arcade and Steam a go prior to releasing, but that might be a longshot, given the length of the game. We'll see. The only roadblock is comming up with the funds to get licencing fees, etc, but I'll burn that bridge when I come to it. -
Hot damn, that room is sexy.. anyway, ever tried kickstarter or indiegogo? you gotta gather some popularity tho
If you're angry, don't break anybody's heart, they only have one..... Break their bones, they have 206 of them -
I've considered it, I want to get a bit more progress done on the game first. I might be able to put together a kickstarter for the xbox version, however... Really wish pewdie would've linked my channel in his description, or gave me some kind of credit, other than just linking to his own site, but meh. At least tons of people know about the game, just wish those people knew that I existed, that I'm in the process of a sequel and xbox version, etc etc.

I think I saw you mention a website you have?
Why isn't the main download links actually on your website instead of it being on dropbox? That way you would of got a fair bit more attention that is deserved!
I don't have a website. I have a devlog, a youtube channel and a twitter, but I don't actually pay for any hosting of any kind. If that were the case, that'd be the first place I'd put it.
Of course, it doesn't matter much anymore. I'm not going to be around much longer, I won't have any money comming in untill late January, and even still that's not even close enough to get the operation I need, which for whatever reason has been labeled 'elective' for my particular case. To make matters worse, I now have to pay full price for my medication, which I don't have the money for. Why I always gotta be a loophole? Screw you, America.
In any case, barring some kind of unforseen financial surplus, my masterpiece is going to be left unfinished. -
A sequel is welcome to this awesome game. Keep up the good work!,,There's a war between a good and a bad dog in every us. It will won who we chose to feed.''

I updated the game last night, nothing to spactacular, a few fixes here and there. I'm working on the new gfx for version 1.2 as well as the coding framework for version 1.2 (which will be the same basic engine used for homesick 2, only with less features) as we speak.
I'm happy to announce that I've successfully been able to create a mod folder for the game so that users are able to add their own custom characters, rooms, items and stories into the game. Plus, aside from the art side, should make things go much quicker.
Version 1.2 will be available on the xbox, and it's possible that I might release a free windows/mac version, if I can't find a publisher.
But in any case, I'm a little more adamant about pointing out that I'm looking for donations if anyone is willing and able, I'm doing this out of desperation, otherwise I wouldn't be so forthcoming about it.
Thanks guys

If you guys thought that 16 frame walk animation was awesome, take a look at this 80 frame walk animation,
dropbox.com/s/8pi9k8paijupfkg/animex.exe
The nice thing about this one is it works off of a template. I simply animate the character once, and I can just swap out the template, this will make it viable to add lots of new outfits, characters and what have you. That 'animation viewer' program I threw together to display it is also going to be improved to read the information from a spritesheet, and able to put out a file customizable list of animations for it, so it will make modding the game super easy, especially for those who want to put in their own characters, but can't exactly adhere to my 80 frame animations.
