Usually i use Fraps to record. But your hard disk should be spaceless in that way One video can weight from 40 to 80 GB. Dxtory/Bandicam may work too, but they have some problems with quality of video/sound For facecams i use my own camera program - Logitech Webcam Software - if you don't have special program - use Windows Live Moviemaker.

I use After Effects to edit animations - adding some brightness or shine effect. To edit gameplays and letsplays I use Premiere Pro.
