Best way to get your channel out there is to collab. You don't have to be in a named group or clan per se. But just playing with youtuber and real life friends, interacting across all social platforms and generally being easy to approach is a great start. Having fun is the most important thing. Have fun and the audience will too.

To get the hang of editing video in general I'd go for the starter version of Serif Movieplus cause it has most of the functionality of the pro editors but is free and very well laid out and easy to use. And then, definitely go for Sony Vegas. I've got SV 12 and I'm already noticing a definite change in the quality of my videos, though they can take a long time to render.

Well you know how you play an online game with your friends, and you are shouting and swearing and laughing and stuff? Well we, your internet friends and subscribers, we all do the same thing, and we are entertained by it too. It doesn't matter if you have some of the same mannerisms as Pewdiepie as long as you are still yourself. Be yourself, and have fun doing it, and people will like it. If you are having fun then it's fun for everyone watching too.
