Yeah i stream Payday 2 from time to time and really it's not a game meant for a let's play so it suits Twitch fairly well. Other games like Watchdogs, Hitman Absolution, Splinter Cell Blacklist and such are suitable for both Twitch and Youtube in my opinion so they both could work well, i suppose it just matters how it's done on each platform...

I think the x87 platform will suit you just fine. You only need the benefits of x79 IF you do a lot of 3d graphical work and need those 6-8 cores in a CPU, or if you need 64GB of RAM or plan on doing 3 or 4 way graphics card setup which all of these you won't need for doing Youtube. Also just so you know, you should not bother trying to render a video while playing a game and recording that. Its just going to hurt your gameplay and recording, since rendering takes up a lot of CPU cycles.

After much thought and consideration i think i might just suck it up and get a K70 and just use some random shortcuts to act as the macros (i use those macro's mainly just to start up frequently used programs). If you can't decide based on which consoles offers what featuers, take a look at their respective exlusives. Maybe then you can use those to help you decide. Personally i'd go for the PS4, they advertised it as a gaming machine, not a multimedia device so i'm pretty sure that sony's focus will be mainly on games rather than providing content to sit and watch. Most decent laptops can play games at a decent quality assuming you're willing to compromise on some eyecandy to keep the framerates decent. An i5 CPU is more than enough for gaming, consider an i7 only if you plan on doing video editing or using programs that utilise multiple threads. 4GB of ram is again sufficient for gaming purposes assuming you're not running something like photoshop while playing.
