The "jealousy" factor ain't that correct in my opinion. They are, in fact, but can also be something that offer more items, skills or whatever in a game(Like Skyrim, just for example). But they can't change a game's "gameplay". Turning Outlast into a Left 4 Dead (Horror Game, meant to simply run and get scared, into a shooter, where you actually need teamplay, strategy etc) would be like turning pokemon into a Cat Mario. What's the sense there?

A good idea, in my humble opinion, would be to put some minigames in there, maybe unlockable by reaching some achievements or discovering some secrets. Those minigames could be about anything, completely random stuff, like a dance minigame where you should press keys to dont die or disappoint the Almighy Lord Edgar, or Shooting at barrels, saving giraffes. just dont make it another of those milions of rage game. You could have a skill that shoots out brofists, or that does a bropowerfist into the ground, like the one in infamous second son, that leaves a brofist mark on the ground.

Horror: Pretty though one. I guess(from what i've seen) that my favs are either Within deep sorrows or affected, but can't really tell since i dont remember them all. But surely i laughed so much in any of them. The more the skreech is loud, the more loud i laugh. RPG: Corpse party for sure. Funny: Probably Conker's, and i enjoyed mcpixel as well.

tbh Outlast's gameplay and storyline just do not fit for a multi-player purpose. It would make it a no-sense game and there would be so many things to change and modify that i would hardly look like outlast anymore. Also, if you are talking about the normal outlast, it just wouldn't be that interesting since we all know already its story very well.
